Amy Wolfe, a 32-year-old American woman living in New York, has been diagnosed with Asperger’s syndrome, a condition that causes her to have a strong affection for inanimate objects. In the past, she has had romantic feelings for a space shuttle model, an organ in a church, and a staircase railing. Now, she is planning to marry a “magical flying carpet” roller coaster called the 1001 Nachts, located in Knoebels amusement park in New York.

For the past 10 years, Amy has ridden the roller coaster more than 3,000 times, and now she plans to take her love for the ride to the next level by marrying it. She will even change her last name to Weber, after the roller coaster manufacturer. Amy says she and her “partner” will share a physical and emotional relationship and that she doesn’t feel jealous when others ride the coaster.

Amy’s story highlights the challenges faced by those with Asperger’s syndrome and the different ways in which people experience love and affection. While her relationship with a roller coaster may seem unusual to some, it serves as a reminder that love and connection can take many forms and that we should be open to exploring different ways of expressing them.
