With the COVID-19 pandemic disrupting plans all over the world, Autumn Wood (28) and Christian Miller (28) from Cincinnati, Ohio, had to cancel their long-planned wedding due to lockdown measures. However, they still decided to celebrate their love in a unique and special way, marking the beginning of their new life together.

The couple had originally planned to have their wedding on May 23, 2020, but had to completely change their plans due to the pandemic. Instead, they decided to hold an intimate ceremony in the backyard of Christian’s brother’s home. The couple’s beloved pets served as their “maid of honor” and made the ceremony even more special. Their friends and family members were able to attend the wedding via a livestream on social media.

Autumn said, “We had planned to have a big wedding, but since we couldn’t do that, we decided to get creative. We transformed Christian’s brother’s backyard into a wedding venue, using all the decorations we had purchased for our original wedding. We sent out invitations to our friends and family on Facebook, inviting them to watch the ceremony on the livestream.”

Instead of a fancy reception, the couple cooked and enjoyed a steak dinner together, followed by a delicious carrot cake made by Christian’s mother. After the ceremony, the couple and their families enjoyed listening to the music that was supposed to be played at their original wedding reception.

Autumn said, “It was a perfect wedding, even though it didn’t happen the way we planned. We are very happy with the results and believe that this will be a beautiful and memorable memory for us in the future. In a way, we gave our friends and families some peace and tranquility during these difficult times. We are grateful for the love and support we received on our special day and look forward to planning a honeymoon at Disneyland in August.”
