The idea of wearing a pure white wedding dress and walking down the aisle with the person you love most, surrounded by family and friends, is a dream come true for most girls.
However, for some people, love can be fragile and separated by the barrier between life and death. Debbie Gerlach and Randy Zimmerman had been together for six years and had planned to get married. Unfortunately, Randy died in a motorcycle accident in February.
Despite never having the chance to marry her soulmate, Debbie never gave up hope. She went to the Tuscan desert in Arizona to take wedding photos by herself, with her deceased fiancé Randy appearing in the photos as a faint shadow beside her.

Today, I woke up early, put on my wedding dress, and walked a long, lonely path to my dreams, where my man was waiting for me. Today, in front of our family and friends, Randy and I will express our love for each other once again, and we will make a vow.”

Despite being apart for nine months since Randy’s death, Debbie’s love for him has remained intact. She also warned young people to be careful when using motorcycles, so that no one would suffer a tragic end like Randy.
