1000-lb Sisters fans recently went in on Amy Slaton for what they see as her being overly dramatic in TLC scenes. Is she purposely faking tears and drama to secure a paycheck?
From the moment TLC introduced Amy Slaton, Tammy Slaton, and the rest of their family, they’ve had no shortage of drama for the network to cash in on and document. Whether it’s dropping weight, relationship woes, or something else, there has been a treasure trove of golden storylines over the years.
Tammy Slaton struggling with her weight has been something that easily writes itself. These days, even though Tammy has made forward progress in terms of slimming down, her resistance to it for years was the gift that kept on giving. Tammy falling off the wagon, partying, and binging was something that kept 1000-lb Sisters fans tuning in.

As 1000-lb Sisters watchers have seen this season, a lot of Amy Slaton’s drama has to do with her children, Michael, and all of the logistics of making things work as co-parents while they are no longer together. Still, the way fans see it, Amy is really leaning into it for the cameras.
While viewers may never know for sure how much drama is real and how much is exaggerated for the cameras, it seems more than a few people are put off by Amy’s on-camera antics this season.
